Mark Brengman is a licensed professional mechanical engineer whose consulting work has earned recognition from national and state engineering associations.  With more than 20 years of experience, he charts the overall direction and development of the firm in addition to overseeing all its mechanical engineering activities.  Mark earned a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Minnesota.  Mark also is a LEED Accredited Professional and a member of the America Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers.

Steven Youngs is one of its founding partners.  A licensed professional electrical engineer, Steve brings nearly 30 years of experience to the firm’s consulting projects in the residential, hospitality, commercial, retail and industrial markets.  Steve received a Bachelor of Science Degree in electrical engineering from North Dakota State University.  Steve is a member of the North Central Electrical Engineering Society (NCEES), where he served as a board member from 2004 through 2010.

Gene Striefel has been with Steen since its inception in 1993.  Gene brings more than 35 years of experience to the firm, including a broad background in mechanical and electrical construction management.  Before establishing Steen Engineering, Gene was employed by a number of large general and electrical contractors where he served as construction manager and commissioner for heavy industrial, commercial, medical and other projects.  As a master electrician, Gene previously owned an electrical contracting company that worked for both large and small corporate clients.

As a member of Steen Engineering’s team for the past 16 years, Teri has a proven record of competent office management.  Teri oversees all aspects of the day to day business and financial transactions.

After graduating from North Hennepin Community College and spending a few years in the Human Service field, Teri joined Steen Engineering, Inc.  She returned to school in 1998, graduating from Metropolitan State University, St. Paul, MN with her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a minor in Economics.  She was promoted to the Director of Business Administration and Finance position in 2007 and continues to serve in that position.
